Week1: Orange Flashlight

Orange Flashlight

When it talks about flashlights, I thought about the article I have read in a long time ago It is called an orange lamp. Although it is not the flashlight, it is always the light I want to make.

“But I recall the little orange lamp every Chinese New Year. Twelve years have passed. Her father must have come back long ago, and her mother got well. For we are all well now.”

I sketch down my three initial ideas and thought about if they are doable, then I came up with a final sketch.

I brought a simple light bulb, wires, switch, battery, and orange.

First, I test if the light bulb is working, then I cut the orange, and eat...

I put the orange next to the window and wait till it dry. The next day, I used the knife to sculpt it and draw the circle to cover the mess. The challenge I had to make this flashlight is the connection between two wires are kept losing which cannot make the light bulb lights. I tried different ways like tapes and add another wire on, they are all not working.

So I changed my design to make it looks more like a flashlight.
