Final Project Proposal

For the final project, I am going to make a small part of my long term project. My long term project is to use taste and smell to make an immersive film. For the final project, I am going to make the very first part of this long term project, to make a smell released device.

To make this project not only for creating a device, I add some concepts. I am going to make a stress released toy.

The toy is soft and can pinch. The screen will show the level of how hard people pinch the toy. And the screen will show the explore view and spray smell when reaching the specified strength.

There was a pinch orange game very popular in a few years ago. The orange smell can make people feel relax and happy I am thinking to make the top in orange shape and spray orange smell.

This game will have three interact parts: touch, see, and smell

For the touch part: I am going to use soft clay to make an orange or just buy a stress toy and change its’ look too orange. The force will hide in the toy.

For the viewing part: I am going to make an exposure sketch on p5. And probably will show the image on a screen.

For the smell part: I am going to make a box to put my Arduino in.

And use Arduino to control the humidifier to work and spray the orange smell.
